Your role and responsibilities IBM Cloud offers a unified platform that gives you cloud computing any way you want it, deployed on demand, with a single pane of glass for systems management (one portal; one Application Programming Interface (API)). IBM is currently recruiting for Data Center Specialists to join the Cloud team. Essential Duties: Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) servers Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment Troubleshoot, test, quality assurance of server hardware Professionally resolve hardware issues via trouble ticket Wonder if IBM is the one for you? : Are you craving to learn more? Required technical and professional expertise Operating System Installation Windows Server, Linux, Unix Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment a plus Web Server and Database installation experience a plus Must be able to work in this country without company sponsorship Must be fluent in English Must be willing to learn quickly, multi-task, and work in a fast pace environment Moderate knowledge of PC hardware concepts and component installation Basic knowledge of various internet-related services and software (mail, web, DNS, etc) General understanding of computer networking concepts Customer focused attitude with some previous customer service experience Network wiring/cabling experience a plus Preferred technical and professional experience 3-5 years’ experience with Windows and Linux Platforms 3-5 years’ experience with computer/server hardware Certifications are not required but a plus.
