Position Summary:
Client is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to standardize and automate
configuration across environments using modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices. The role will ensure consistency in development, test, and production environments while reducing deployment errors and supporting scalable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage configuration automation scripts using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
- Maintain version-controlled configuration baselines across all environments.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure consistent CI/CD deployments.
- Implement GitOps practices for configuration validation and change management.
- Manage artifact repositories, deployment manifests, and release configurations.
- Monitor configuration drift and lead remediation strategies.
- Document configuration standards, processes, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in configuration management across Linux-based environments.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or similar).
- Strong experience with Git, YAML, and scripting languages (Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
Experience in regulated or secure environments (CJIS, HIPAA, etc.) is a plus.
