The Role | Frontend Engineer Sauron Industries is looking to create a new modality for homeowners to interact with their properties and security systems, based on a 3D model of the home. We are looking for a highly skilled, thoughtful, and collaborative Front-End Engineer to help design, develop and deliver this innovative technology to a wide user base. We are looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and cares deeply about the user experience. The ideal candidate is strategic about building for the long run, and enjoys the process of collaborating with teammates to architect reliable, scalable and maintainable applications. You’ll solve challenging problems and provide input into both product roadmaps and development approaches. We Value Collaboration, pair programming, and teamwork. Own end-to-end workflows You Will Contribute By Developing great web-based user experiences used across the company Translating prototypes to high quality, scalable production code Working closely with designers and the rest of the engineering team to continuously improve on the user experience Building security-first systems for mass consumption Being a proactive self-starter and fast learner who can develop methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results Your Background Includes At least 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in product development Solid understanding of fundamental web technologies but not limited to and REST Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS and TypeScript / ES6, including DOM manipulation and the JS object model Experience with common front-end development tools such as Vite, NPM, Yarn, etc Knowledge of state management libraries like Redux and Context Thorough understanding of REST principles and best practices of building and using RESTful APIs Thorough understanding of core design principles and common design patterns of React Deep understanding of frontend architecture and improving build processes Nice to Have (familiarity with/desire to learn) Understanding of 3D graphics is a plus WebGL and WebAssembly knowledge Familiarity with end-to-end testing frameworks CI/CD systems #J-18808-Ljbffr Sauron Industries, Inc.
