Restoration 1 of the Lakeshore is searching for candidates to fill the general laborer roles on a water, fire and mold damage restoration crew. This is a great opportunity for the right individual. General Labor Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow project instructions from crew leader
• Unload tools, prepare building site materials and set up equipment
• Assist in setting up containment on job site as needed
• Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
• Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
• Ensure regulated and proper personal protective equipment is worn
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools including pressure washers, drills, saws, grinders, and sanders
• Assist in setting up drying equipment as needed
• Assist in demolition and removal of building materials including flooring, trim and drywall.
• Provide assistance to contractors (i.e. carpenters, drywallers, painters) as needed
• Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials
• Ensure equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly

General Labor Requirements and Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
• Construction experience preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid Drivers License without a major violation (OMVI, Reckless, etc.)
• Be drug free and committed to staying drug free
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be comfortable climbing up ladders or working in confined spaces
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
• Eager to learn and acquire new skills
