Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has opportunities available for full time Marine Mechanic Technician I in San Diego, CA.
Summary: The Marine Mechanic Technician I will provide troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and material assessment of marine propulsion and or power generation for various types of patrol boats, equipment, mechanical systems, and components in accordance with OEM technical specifications in CONUS & OCONUS locations, as required.
Roles and Responsibilities: \n - Uses technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and identify causes for equipment/system failure to the component level.
\n - Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
\n - Performs Lay-ups and related maintenance checks of boats in mid-level storage program.
\n - Performs Start-ups and related maintenance checks of boats in mid-level storage program.
\n - Provides written reports for all work accomplished and completed action documentation.
\n

\n - Performs other duties as assigned in support of maintenance/repair as required.
\n - Maintains shop equipment.
\n - Provides technical support relative to the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of marine mechanical systems, subsystems and components including but not limited to:

\n - Hamilton Waterjet Model HJ292

\n - Hamilton Waterjet Model HM651
\n - Twin Disc Marine Gear Transmission
\n - Westerbeke 33KW EDE D-NET Generator
\n
\n
Minimum Qualifications: \n - High school diploma or equivalent
\n - A minimum of 3 years general experience in their respective trade
\n - Knowledge of proper use of diagnostic equipment.
\n - Possess basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
\n - Possess organizational skills.
\n - Possess effective oral and written communication.
\n
\n
\n - Possess moderate understanding of technical requirements.
\n - Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible.
\n - Ability to travel overseas when required.
\n - Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
\n - Ability to obtain a US Passport.
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications: \n - Prior military expeditionary equipment maintenance experience.
\n - A graduate of CUMMINS Insite Familiarization course and hold an Insite Qualification & Tier 3 QSB/QSC Engine Qualifications
\n
\n
and/or
- Certified to work on Mercury Outboard Systems to include Optimax and Verado outboard engines and have completed Intro to CDS and Verado/Optimax I & II qualifications
\n
The pay range for this role is $26.07 - $27.07 hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
ADA Notations: \n - Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 50 lbs.
\n - Ability to work in a field environment for extended periods (and in some cases, areas of extreme heat and humidity such as Guam, Djibouti, Bahrain, etc).
\n - Ability to be able to work in maintenance shop environment
\n - Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions.
\n

\n - Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
\n - Job may require bending, stooping, lifting, and will be in an environment of low and high temperatures.
