Job Description

Soliant is seeking a reliable and experienced Inpatient Pharmacy IV Technician for a 13-week assignment at a respected hospital in York, Maine. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with variable shifts from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and rotating weekends.


This role requires demonstrated proficiency in sterile compounding and a strong understanding of USP 797 and USP 800 standards. Candidates must have an active Maine Pharmacy Technician License, be PTCB certified, and have at least two years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.



Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications using aseptic technique
• Ensure full compliance with USP 797 and 800 standards
• Calculate accurate drug dilutions and reconstitution
• Manage inventory, proper waste disposal, and documentation of lot numbers
• Perform quality assurance tasks including cleanroom maintenance and regulatory compliance prep
• Support medication preparation and distribution throughout the hospital, including automation systems

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Maine Pharmacy Technician Registration
• PTCB Certification
• Minimum two years of inpatient hospital experience
• Proficiency in sterile compounding and USP regulations
• Strong communication, organization, and data entry skills
